Fredrik Martinsson, founder of Standout Chocolate, has been producing his chocolate since 2018 in Kållered in Sweden, purchasing the cacao directly from farm cooperatives and farmers all over the world.
Standout Chocolate’s philosophy is to be completely transparent in what they do, because they believe in ecological, economical and social sustainability.
They have chosen their name with care in order to represent the crafting and sharing the best chocolate they possibly can, and never cut back on quality.
By working with the best suppliers and focusing on finding new interesting origins, with unique taste profiles, they are always at the forefront to define a new standard for craft chocolate.
The chocolate has only two ingredients– cacao beans and cane sugar – therefor it is also: Dairy-Free, Soy-Free and Vegan.
The farmers get well paid for their cacao – much more than the commodity market price – so that the farmers can reinvest the money and develop their farms and local community.
The organic cane sugar is purchased from farms in South America and has been refined by Nordic Sugar ad Arlöv, in Svezia. Standout Chocolate uses materials with as little impact on the environment and society as possible and the products are made from renewable raw materials grown responsibly. Inner packaging: Biodegradable and compostable Biofilm. The Biofilm is made of corn or potato starch and biodegrades to carbon dioxide and water. The biodegradation process is activated by heat and humidity and takes between about 45 days and 6 months, depending on temperature. Outer packaging: FSC-certified cardboard. The FSC-certification shows that the raw material, the wood, comes from responsible forestry and has a controlled origin.
